After delivering single-origin, farm direct coffee to the finished restaurants in Washington, DC, and the surrounding area for 25 years, we are now expanding to the consumer market. You can now enjoy the coffee, DC foodies, have been talking about for years. There is no better way to start your day, boost the middle of your day or finish a delicious meal. As Importers we work hands on and source our product from Small family-owned farms in the beautiful High Mountains of Nicaragua. With traceability and above market price to the farmer, these beautiful Shade Grown, Hand Washed, Sorted and Patio dried coffee gems travel to be roasted here in the US. We will only use the top 20-25% beans from a small farmer's limited lot of production. Beans are selected by their size, equal shape and humidity and hold up best for processing, small-batch roasting and the final brewing.Hands-on distribution is to some of the greatest Chefs and Restaurateurs we know: People and organizations that care about drinking and serving a great Cup of Coffee!HELPING OUR COMMUNITIES:As we source our beans we have always believed in responsibility to the Farm and with fair pricing we always pay a premium to the grower for their beans. Giving back to the workers and their families is a huge incentive in our world as the Farm provides us with the beautiful coffee cherries to produce a great cup while we support better ways of life for many. Additionally, as we support the city that drinks our coffee most and Santa Lucia participates with many charities in the Washington DC area.
