Food Production - North Charleston, South Carolina, United States
Sarah was born in South Korea & adopted at 5 months old. Being raised in Upstate NY did not stop her parents from enrolling her into 2 Korean culture camps until she was 11. Both taught the basics like Taekwondo, how to write her name in Korean, fan dancing, & of course... DUMPLINGS! (FACT: Korean dumplings are called mandu.)Nate grew up outside of Pittsburgh in an Italian-Polish family & has fond memories of gathering at a table with his family to eat pierogies (basically, a Polish dumpling).By sharing mandu with the community, we are giving folks a taste of Korea, in many instances, for the first time. We hope that the story rolls the beauty of adoption, cultural similarities, & deliciousness into one lil' dump that's cute AF.
