Sarah's Laughter – Christian Support for Infertility & Child Loss is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity that offers support to couples struggling with infertility or the death of a baby. We do this via support groups in person at our support center in Baton Rouge and online via (private) meeting software. He hold memorial services to honor the life of stillborn and miscarried babies. We also hold workshops to inform and equip couples, giving attendees access to experts such as reproductive endocrinologists and attorneys specializing in gestational law.We also hold community events such as the Baby Steps 5K (babysteps5k.com) to raise awareness, give people a welcoming, supportive environment in which to "out" themselves as fertility patients, and give away grants and/or fertility treatments. At our inaugural event in 2014, we gave away a free IVF cycle. At our 2015 race, which had over 2,200 participants, we and our sponsors gave away thirteen different prizes: one free IVF cycle, two half-price IVF cycles, five IUI cycles, a $10,000 family building grant (to use for either fertility treatment or adoption), and four $500 fertility treatment grants.Additionally, each weekday we send encouraging devotionals around the world.
