Sarvodaya Ashram, A leading NGO in the field of Education, AgricutureSarvodaya Ashram with the vision of upliftment of the poorest of poor through Gandhian ideology, is a voluntary organization in Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh. It got registered in 1981 under Societies Registration Act 21/1860. Following the Gandhian philosophy since inception of the organization, the founder members of the organization were actively involved in different spheres of Sarvodaya Movement. Sarvodaya Ashram works in thematic areas like Agriculture development, Women Empowerment, Education, Health, Animal Welfare, Policy Advocacy and Employment Generation.The Ashram has carried out various projects in different districts of Uttar Pradesh with the objective of serving the neediest people. Ashram has developed two famous models. One, the reclamation of sodic land, which was adopted by The World Bank, and second Udaan, to impart quality alternative education to out-of-school adolescent girls through innovative ways.Currently working in Hardoi, Barabanki, Raebareli, Bahraich and Lakhempur districts of Uttar Pradesh, Ashram got experience of working in 46 districts of central Uttar Pradesh, under NREGS program & in 25 Districts of Uttar Pradesh under Land Reformation program.
