SasserNation Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization launched by Bud Sasser to enrich the lives of Denton-area youth by way of academics and athletics. As an organization, SasserNation Foundation provides scholarship opportunities for high school seniors entering into college that were not granted full-rides by their university. The purpose of SasserNation is to instill life values, athletic skills, and inspire the future for the Denton-area youth. Working with youth from ages 5 all the way to 18, SasserNation is entering their lives in a pivotal time ensuring that they are on the right track for their futures beyond professional sports. By providing a sense of purpose and giving attention to the character growth of the youth, SasserNation is charting the path for a future of resiliency, maturity, and ambition.Bud Sasser is the founder of SasserNation Foundation and a product of Denton, Texas. He took his love for football from little league, to University of Missouri - Columbia, to being drafted by the St. Louis Rams in the NFL 2015 Draft as a wide receiver. Growing up in Denton, Bud found himself facing many hardships and challenges that could have destroyed him and his future. However, through the tenacity and resiliency he learned as a football player, he was able to push through and excel in life despite the oppositions faced. Taking his own experiences into account and how they shaped him into who he is today, Bud wanted to extend these opportunities to others in his community. Launching SasserNation Foundation, Bud has created an opportunity to empower the youth of his area and directly impact their future. With that, the SasserNation Foundation's motto was created: "Encouraging Those with Aspirations - Inspiring Those Without."
