The Saudi Arabian Students Association intends to facilitate current and prospective Saudi students with tools necessary to make the best of their time in Vancouver at UBC. UBC's standing as the second best academic institution in Canada, requires high standards of academic achievement. More importantly, a well bodied student. Saudi students at UBC Vancouver often come across a number of obstacles such as language barriers, cultural strain, social complexities, and legal ambiguities. To further accommodate their stay in Vancouver we intend to integrate Saudi students with neighboring AMS clubs at our UBC Campus. Furthermore, we aim to expand their horizons through social integration, volunteer work, group events, social gatherings, and employment networking within Vancouver's bustling community. In addition to aiding assimilation into the Canadian lifestyle, the club will harness and maintain Saudi's national identity by facilitating events specific to Saudi's exotic culture. The events welcome all participating club members as well as the local community; we aim at being best in promoting diversity. Our executive team, consisting of 7 UBC Saudi students, have come across numerous metaphorical barricades at our time at UBC. Independently sorting issues like these was not only time consuming and academically hindering, but also physically and psychologically restraining.
