Entertainment - Los Angeles, California, United States
Savage Entertainment, LLC was founded by former MechWarrior II developers John Lafleur, Chacko Sonny, and Tim Morten. Savage developed games under contract for publishers like Activision, Electronic Arts, and THQ. In some cases, Savage developed the entire game, in other cases Savage just ported a game or contributed a portion of the development. Savage was also involved in developing training and simulation projects for the US government. Savage's most successful projects were Transformers (PSP) and Battlefront II (PSP). Savage developed its own DirectX 9 engine internally called the Sabertooth Engine, but worked with different technology from project to project. Savage was based in Los Angeles, California, United States, and had a peak team size of 50 developers. Many members of the Savage team still keep in touch, and in some cases even continue to work together today. Perhaps the most enduring legacy of Savage is the close bond that was felt much of the team.
