Non-Profit - N/A, N/A, us
Savage Sisters provides the Philadelphia community with resources for those living with substance use disorder. Our two main strategies are initiating local outreach events in Philly neighborhoods heavily affected by homelessness, and drug addiction; and providing women in early recovery with a home. Savage provides women on the early road to substance abuse recovery with a safe, structured, trauma-informed and pro-social living environment where they can safely recreate their lives. Our residents recovery journeys usually start in various locatios such as rehab facilities, other recovery homes, or even jail. Savage Sisters guides them on the continuing path to recovery where they ideally end up with significant sober time, a recovery program, a desire to give back, and the network needed to do so. Savages outreach initiatives advocate for harm reduction, education, and ending the stigma around addiction. We collect food, clothing, narcan and monetary donations from local community members, government organizations, businesses and corporations in order to initate outreaches and thus provide the homeless, displaced, and addicted with resources they need, where they need them.
