The Savannah Downtown Business Association is "An independent advocate actively engaged in the promotion of a prosperous downtown business community." The SDBA was first formed in 1997 and serves as a support network and advocate for businesses in downtown Savannah. We meet with elected officials to promote your values and interests, so you can focus on running your small business.Advocacy: The SDBA is an influential, informed organization. We serve as a resource and liaison with local and state government officials and always advocate for members businesses needs to ensure a prosperous business community.Connect: Monthly luncheons, held the second Wednesday of every month, provide an opportunity for members to connect through networking. Luncheons inform and educate our members on topics relevant to sustaining a healthy, well-rounded, and profitable downtown. Even through these uncertain and very different times, the SDBA has kept our membership connected through virtual luncheons and small group, industry-related networking calls. Inform: We communicate vital information in a timely manner concerning legislative actions, events, and issues that affect local businesses and provide an opportunity for all members of all sizes to stay abreast of matters that may affect their business long term.Advance: We are an independent organization with a strong, cohesive voice to advocate for our members on issues affecting downtown business. We work toward the common goal of a thriving economy through cooperation between local businesses, governmental agencies, and the residential community.
