Savethesmile.org is a social initiative that attempts to help win the battle India has been fighting against illiteracy and unemployment and has been doing so Savethesmile.org repurposes the DIY Culture that is trending and allows the citizens to better the lives of the 352.52 Million Illiterate and 44.79 Million Unemployed people in India while sitting at home.It does so by enabling NGOs to train all the children and adults in their organization with just one computer or smart phone. Today, Savethesmile.org has grown from one person's effort to an organization consisting of 5 people and countless volunteers. The volunteers can contribute to any sphere of work and learning by, • Spreading awareness • Uploading "how to" style documents & videos • Volunteering for fundraisers etc. The website already provides the following end-to-end solutions: • Allows children and adults a complete school education and consultation on health, hygiene and their rights. • Provides skill training in Hindi and English for Jobs like Electrical and Electronics Repair, Plumbing, Cooking, Welding, Embroidery, Tailoring, Data Entry etc. and consultation on various aspects of Job search and running a company.
