With the development of the postgraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering and the emergence of the numerous undergraduate courses in the country, SBEB has a new challenge, which is to support and bring together Biomedical Engineers, that is, those who have graduated in the area. The challenges are numerous: discussions on minimum curricula in order to ensure the proper training of the Biomedical Engineer; dissemination of the Biomedical Engineering profession in the various fields, both in engineering and in health areas; support to the Biomedical Engineer before public and private institutions; training, either at the supplementary or specialization level. Given this new scenario, it is extremely important to understand and disseminate the exercise of the Biomedical Engineering profession, which is one of SBEB's main actions.
