There are currently 23,000 homeless families in NYC. Most of these families are single mothers. Although some of these families have income, it is not enough to survive. Currently, these single mothers receive job training from city funded programs. Through these programs they learn office etiquette, Microsoft Office, and inter-personal skills. But! This is only enough to literally get them a position in the mail room. By training these single mothers to architect software infrastructure solutions on cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services; through a detailed curriculum and professional support they can become certified AWS solutions architects. This would result in a new life and level of success they never dreamed possible! Our mission at Scaling Hope is to transform the lives of these single mothers! The training we provide them will catapult them into a new levels of income. Not only do we provide hope to these homeless mothers, but we aim to promote greater diversity and equal opportunity for women and minorities in the technology industry.
