In recent year we have seen how the reggae and dancehall scene has flourished in Scandinavia countries and attained success. In Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland reggae artist who sing in their native languages achieves immense chart success and annually rake in awards at major awards shows. For this reason, we as organizers intend to create a festival where the genre`s practitioners and support from all the Scandinavian countries and beyond, can come tighter to enjoy the music. Our hope is that all encounters and exchanges that take place during these days can provide the basis for an expanded and strengthened Scandinavia reggae scene. The region`s comparable language represents a merging agent that constitutes a platform for affinity. with the festival, we want to promote an inter culture community. Naturally the festival also have an international outlook with booking from both homeland Jamaica as well as from the rest of the world. A strong tradition of taking a stand for "equal rights and justice", and highlighting the voice of marginalized groups in the quest to fight for a more loving society, runs through the core for reggae music`s history.
