Scandinavian Diabetes Center is a private clinic specializing in surgical treatment of diabetic neuropathy. The most common peripheral nerve problem in the western world is neuropathy due to diabetes, chemotherapy, heavy metal poisoning, and unknown causes. The neuropathy causes ulceration and amputations through the loss of sensation, as well as intense pain. There is no medical treatment for this neuropathy other than strong pain medication or similar medicine with serious side effects. Decompression of nerves in the leg, ankle, and foot can relieve the problems in up to 80% of patients who also have a nerve entrapment at these anatomic locations. Scandinavian Diabetes Center is working to promote knowledge about the treatment and has since 2011 been treating patients suffering from diabetic neuropathy. Our goal is to expand and offer the treatment in all of Scandinavia. For more information, patient testimonials and articles related to the treatment, please visit our webpage.
