Scarell develops software tools dedicated to industry and fundamental research laboratories. Scarell is the editor of ElliOOs, a SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) software library. It is based on a distributed architecture and supports multiple servers and clients. ElliOOs was initially designed to control powerful lasers (peta-watt, range). Thanks to its connectivity and ruggedness, it was later used to design firmware embedded in medical and industrial lasers. These two initial types of application enable us to anticipate requirements for other applications in industrial and fundamental research sectors.
