SCARY Design was started in 1984 as a consulting service providing the toy industry low cost "sound chip" based electronics and microcontroller designs. Since then we have worked on designs as far ranging as power semiconductors to heart defibrillators. SCARY Design has recently taken the next step by not only offering design services but also as an OEM manufacturer of a new line of guitar effects such as reverb, echo, chorus and flanging (to name a few). Analog in nature under digital control these devices are designed to be great sounding as well as throw in our own little "spin" on functionality.
