The teaching and research institutions of the college include the department of architecture, the department of urban planning, the experimental center, the institute of architectural design and research, the institute of heritage conservation and urban renewal, and the research center of low-carbon ecological urban and rural construction. The experimental center consists of 7 sub-rooms: architectural physics, architectural modeling, architectural photography, architectural surveying, architectural construction, digital virtual city architecture and geographic information system, and landscape architecture design and simulation. Founded in 1981, architectural design and research institute is one of the earliest design institutes in colleges and universities. It has a class qualification in architectural engineering. In recent years, it has completed over 100 large and medium-sized projects, and many projects have won national and provincial excellent design awards.
