As a design based in Calgary, we offer an immersive experience in social innovation and entrepreneurial thinking.We are called the Faculty of Environmental Design because transforming place requires the resolution of conflicting environmental contexts. Architects, landscape architects and planners reconcile priorities through multiple lenses: built-natural, historical-technological, cultural-social, financial-political, and physical-digital. Studio-based learning provides an exceptional hands-on research experience and community-centered education. Our distinctive interdisciplinary approach cultivates strong industry partnerships well-suited to practice in our complex, urbanizing world.
