The School of Rock is the original performance based interactive music school and community. Our Waldwick location is a state-of-the-art learning facility that fosters social interaction through music. Through one-on-one lessons and group rehearsals, our students become part of a one-of-a-kind music community that assists students in reaching their full potential as musicians.From the moment a student joins one of our schools, they are playing music LOUD, on professional equipment, guided by seasoned instructors, with other musicians in their age group and skill level.We offer programs for many instruments including guitar, bass, keyboard, drums, and vocals. Once enrolled, each week our students receive a private lesson on the instrument of their choice. We encourage students to learn multiple instruments, as it will help to enhance their craft.In addition, students will participate in a weekly 3-hour supervised show rehearsal. During the rehearsal, several students get together with an instructor to learn and perform songs by artists such as Led Zeppelin, Green Day, Pink Floyd, Paramore, Foo Fighters, Queen, The Beatles, and many more.We have found that the combination of private lessons and group band practice with their peers is the best way to motivate kids to practice hard, overcome stage fright, and become amazing musicians.
