Founded in 1985, Schutz Engineering Corp. has in-depth experience with a wide variety of technologies, and expertise in areas including: instrumentation, medical and laboratory equipment, electronics, mechanical, thermal and fluid systems. An extensive network of technically sophisticated associates covers virtually every design and engineering discipline.Peter started his design engineering/new product development consulting business (now called Schutz Engineering Corp.) in 1985. Before that he worked for 4 companies as a design engineer and project engineer. His first three engineering jobs all ended in mass layoffs. He works primarily in the areas of special equipment, medical equipment, lab equipment, and instrumentation.He assists inventors in the development of their inventions and is an inventor himself. He has been a business counselor to inventors at the Kean University and RVCC branches of the NJ Small Business Development Centers.He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of NJ and a member of ASME and IEEE. He has been an Adjunct Instructor at Stevens Institute of Technology and the County College of Morris and Chairman of the IEEE Consulting Network of Northern NJ. He received his BSME from Lehigh University and his MSME from NJIT.He is active as a volunteer in his church and community and has helped to build and renovate houses and school buildings with World Impact in Newark, with Habitat for Humanity in Newark, Philadelphia and Baltimore, and with World Servants in the Dominican Republic. He enjoys tennis, cycling, hiking, reading, and discussing solutions to the world's problems.
