Our goal is to make European cities more beautiful. We believe we can make an end to the car and urban sprawl dominated era by better cooperation, applying new instruments/methods and developing concrete recommendations.We believe that a paradigm shift from mobility to accessibility is neccessary. We do not need more unsustainble urban mobility and increasing distances, but instedd have to work towards dense attractive car-free urban environments for all socio-economic and cultural groups. At the same time we need to prepare our cities for climate change adaptation and mitigation as well as for for the digital age to come.We do not think that traditional instruments in planning and mobility, which are very law focussed stimulating more consumption of space and mobility, can realise this transformation. We instead focus on developing visions, scenarios and setting long-term goals among a large group of stakeholders, thereby strenghtening cooperation. Instead of technocracy, we think that it is more important to learn from other cities and conduct experiments, using "policy mobility". We think that technological innovation should go hand-in-hand with social innovation, leading to an societal added value focussing on human beings. And we think that empowerment of groups needs to be realised in all kinds of shapes and forms, so citizens can play a bigger role in developing their city.Do you or your organisations also want to make our cities more beautiful?
