SciChat is a University of Toronto based science outreach initiative that aims to make advances in cutting edge scientific research accessible to the community by holding open discussions with the public on research topics related to the health and biomedical sciences. We also seek to clear misconceptions about the health sciences that may be perpetuated by the media or misunderstood by the public. We offer a broad range of talks that are meant to educate, stimulate discussion, and foster curiosity in our audience, as these are the the processes that form the backbone of scientific pursuits.
