We believe that science is exciting and relevant for everyone. We want to enable scientists to communicate their findings to the public, and we strive to create opportunities for both upcoming and established scientists to do so, and for the public to benefit from it. Science Slam Stuttgart is an event series in which scientists from all disciplines and backgrounds are invited to present their latest work to the public in an entertaining presentation-contest. We have two primary goals. First, to make top-notch scientific research available and understandable to a broad public, in a fun and entertaining way. Second, to provide scientists with a stage to present their work and to reach out to the public. We started our bi-annual event series in 2010 and Science Slam Stuttgart is now an established part of Stuttgart's cultural scene. We have hosted events at the University of Stuttgart, the Bank of Baden-Wuerttemberg, and the Landesmuseum Baden-Wuerttemberg. Also, we continue to organise our event at our central location, the Akademischer Verein Huette Stuttgart (http://www.huette-stuttgart.de/).We are supported by the Studienstiftung Huette Stuttgart (http://www.studienstiftung-huette-stuttgart.de/).
