Scientia Academy is the virtual and blended education unit within Elite K12, an established education group focused on nurturing Chinese global citizens through a portfolio of bilingual schools (https://www.hdschools.org/en) across China as well as extra-curricular activities and learning support centres. Our bilingual schools are currently in Shanghai, Beijing, Ningbo and Qingdao, with a 5th campus that is due to open next year in Nanjing. Across Elite K12 we work in close partnership with Hurtwood House in England and Bullis Charter School in the USA, which are known for their innovative approach to education. Our international ties and collaborations allow us to remain at the forefront of global best practices in teaching and learning and to ensure that our students, families, and teachers are connected to the international education landscape and can be globally mobile. At Scientia Academy specifically, our vision is to harness the potential of high-quality teaching around the world and direct it towards specific learning demands, needs and goal. We do so through a balanced combination of virtual and in-person education experiences and an uncompromising commitment to quality. At Scientia Academy we believe that virtual education should not and cannot replace face-to-face education, but rather complement it, for example by allowing educators to teach children in parts of the world where their knowledge and expertise would otherwise not be available. Based on this belief, Scientia Academy designs and offers education programs across a range of academic subjects, age groups and levels delivered in virtual and blended format by best-in-class educators around the world. Our initial focus is on programmes for Chinese students.
