Kuwait adopted the same program later in 2001.ICCP is a conformity assessment (CA) scheme designed to ensure the conformity of certain imported "Regulated Products" to Saudi, Gulf or other sanctioned international standards. SciTech also provided legal council support with WTO to defend the PCP Program and demonstrate its compatibility under both the TBT and PSI Agreements. The recourse to the PSI Agreement was enabled by referring to the definition of PSI activities which calls for Verification of Quality whereby quality entails, inter alia, conformity with the importing country's applicable technical regulations and CA procedures.As such, the ICCP [or Product Conformity Program (PCP) as it was renamed later] developed as a hybrid scheme combining rights availed to importing countries under both the TBT and PSI Agreements for conformity verification. GCC Customs UnificationSciTech designed a GCC customs unification program for the Gulf countries. Recent surge in oil prices has delayed its implementation. ISO CertificationSciTech also designed ISO certification and Environmental Impact Assessment program for major petroleum, Petrochemical and Chemical industries in KSA.AssociatesIntertekIn the MENA region, SciTech Systems works mainly in coordination with Intertek.
