Scleroderma Hope House is a new charity who strives to provide hope and rest through the journey of a hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT). Our goal is to acquire a property in Chicago near Northwestern Memorial Hospital that will offer extended-stay lodging at a low-cost in a warm home environment. While raising the funds for Hope House, a percentage of our fundraised dollars will be available as grants to patients participating in the HSCT Clinical Trial for autoimmune disease, to help with their out-of-pocket expense, so we can make a difference in people's lives today. Vision Scleroderma Hope House will provide comfortable low-cost, extended-stay lodging for the patient and their caregiver during the transplant process. Each private room will have a television, laptop, personal music device and wireless internet. The home will have a fully equipped kitchen area and on-site laundry facilities. Comfortable social sitting areas for visiting with family and friends. Scleroderma Hope House will be within close proximity to public transportation, grocery stores and pharmacies. Weekly group counseling services will be offered in the home as well.
