SCORE, the nation's largest network of free, expert business mentors, is a nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide. Because our work is supported by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), and thanks to our network of volunteers, we are able to deliver our services at no charge or at very low cost. We provide:-Volunteer mentors who share their expertise across 62 industries-Free, confidential business counseling in person or via email-Free business tools, templates and tips online-Inexpensive or free business workshops (locally) and webinars (online 24/7)Headquartered in Aiken, South Carolina, we are an affiliate of the Small Business Administration and among 300 chapters nationwide. Our main office is at the Greater Aiken Chamber of Commerce located at 121 Richland Avenue East, in Aiken. For the convenience of our Georgia clients, we have another location at the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce at 1000 Business Boulevard in Evans, Georgia.We are fortunate to have many volunteers with varied experience and backgrounds who donate their time to help would-be entrepreneurs and small businesses start-up, grow, and succeed. This team serves the CSRA….some fifteen counties. In South Carolina they include Aiken, Allendale, Barnwell, Edgefield, Greenwood, and McCormick counties. In Georgia the ten counties are Burke, Columbia, Elbert, Glascock, Jefferson, Lincoln, McDuffie, Richmond, Warren, and Wilkes. From this area almost 1,000 clients have been served over the last three years, of which a third are existing businesses.For our work during 2017, we are proud to have been recognized as the SCORE National Chapter of the Year for Small Cities.
