Scottish Adoption was established in 1923 with the aim of delivering a holistic range of high quality placement and adoption services. We are a national organisation delivering adoption services in Scotland. At present the bulk of our services are delivered across Edinburgh & Lothians through Service Level Agreements with local authorities within the area, along with a range of inter-agency work with organisations in other parts of Scotland.Being Skilled in what we do:Our team are all professionally qualified staff with specific experience in adoption.Being Innovative:We are continually researching and developing new approaches to meet the changing needs of our service users.Lifelong Support:Our commitment is to support all our adopted children and families for however long and whenever this is needed.We are driven by the key principle that all children should be supported to grow up in safe, loving, caring and nurturing families and that everyone affected by adoption should be able to access a comprehensive and holistic range of adoption support services. Our services are driven by our belief in working in partnership, valuing diversity and treating individuals with respect.We work with every aspect of the adoption triangle – adopted children, adopted families and birth families – and tailor services to meet individual need.
