The Scottish Rural Parliament is a biennial democratic grassroots assembly that brings together people who live or work in rural and island Scotland with decisions makers and influencers to discuss current thinking and identify positive actions that will make a difference to communities. The ideas that come out of the process are then captured in the Manifesto for Rural and Island Scotland which is then used to lobby and influence change.The Scottish Rural Parliament is a member of the wider European Rural Parliament Network.
