DESIGN MATTERS Scout Design is a design studio established in 2002 by Angeline Robertson and Charley Foley. Our portfolio includes projects for commercial, educational, cultural and art related clients. We help people figure out what they need to say, and we use design as a means of clarifying, illuminating, but never overwhelming the message. Our practice is founded on the belief that good design should be transparent, accessible and engaging. We love design, and it shows, in the enthusiasm we bring to every project, and in the singular attention to detail that only a small group can deliver. Small is good. Our size makes closer communication with clients possible, and allows better control over the creative process. When a project requires it, Scout collaborates with a range of like-minded colleagues to ensure that the best people and experience are involved. The Scout name is a quiet reference to the narrator of Harper Lee's To Kill A Mockingbird. To us, her character stands for optimism, integrity and curiosity about the world. We share her sense of connectedness, and our work has always been informed by this viewpoint.
