The Alabama Recyclers Association (SRAA) is the premier organization for the Alabama recycling industry. SRAA represents the interests of Alabama recyclers before the Alabama State Legislature, Governor's office, state agencies and community entities. SRAA assists its members by addressing the issues most critical to their business operations as well as providing education opportunities and additional support. We welcome and represent the complete recycling industry, including Alabama's metal, paper, plastic, glass, electronics, rubber and textile recyclers.Economic analysis shows that the recycling industry in Alabama is a powerful economic engine, producing 8,753 jobs and generating $174,904,400 in tax revenues for our state. We accomplish all of this while giving secondary products new life and helping to protect planet Earth for future generations. The operations within the Alabama scrap recycling industry are wide spread, generating a total economic impact of $1,904,851,000.
