ScrewPro was launched at the end of 2017 by Klaus Korber, the owner and director of Pitch45 – the Gold Design Award winner of 2016 for House Viking Trust.Originally from Germany, Korber came to South Africa on a working holiday to consult for another roofing company and immediately fell in love with the country. A master carpenter with over 15 years experience in his own country, he and his family relocated to South Africa to share his passion for design and exposed He discovered that the standard of screws and fasteners available in South Africa lacked the beauty and finesse that he was used to back home. Since starting Pitch45 in 2007, he had been importing his fasteners and screws directly from Eurotec – the world's leading manufacturer of fastening system technology. After receiving repeat queries by third parties to buy his imported stock, Korber decided to take the next step – sell Eurotec stock to artisans who share his passion for beauty in architecture.
