Scry Quest Interactive Development (or "Squid," as we call ourselves internally) is a life-long dream for all three founders. The studio was founded in the midst of the pandemic, when we asked ourselves, "How long until we start doing what we love?" So we set out to start building the foundations of a small studio with the objective of making games that touch the soul and inspire the mind.For our first project, we partnered with an educational games company in 2021 to produce three games for their platform, then we went on to do a number of game jams. We're still soul-searching for that next big project, but in the meantime will keep polishing our jam gems and other brainstorm babies. We love making 2D games in Godot, but will not shy away from a 3D challenge! As an independent game studio with a focus on environmental consciousness, amplifying diverse voices, and inclusive collaborations, we are constantly looking for stories to tell, artwork to feature, and people to partner with.
