In 2016, the United Nations endorsed 17 Development Goals to eradicate poverty, protect our planet and ensure that all people live in peace and prosperity. In order to contribute to these goals, which the United Nations has planned to achieve by 2030, studies have been initiated both within companies, social communities and universities. Bilkent Sustainable Development Goals Community, in the focus of these 17 Sustainable Development Goals determined by the United Nations, aims to reveal the current youth potential for a better world by providing the appropriate environment and opportunities nationally and internationally to individuals who can mobilize the society. Our club is looking for members who are eager to find solutions to various problems of global importance, from gender equality to global warming and are committed to making a positive impact. Birleşmiş Milletler, 2016 yılında yoksulluğu ortadan kaldırmak, gezegenimiz korumak ve tüm insanların barış ve refah içinde yaşamasını sağlamak için 17 Sürdürülebilir Kalkınma hedefini onayladı. Birleşmiş Milletler'in 2030 yılına kadar gerçekleşmesini planladığı bu hedefleri hayata geçirmek için gerek şirketler ve sosyal toplulular gerekse üniversiteler bünyesinde çalışmalar başlatıldı. Bilkent Sürdürülebilir Kalkınma Hedefleri Topluluğu, Birleşmiş Milletler tarafından belirlenen bu 17 Sürdürülebilir Kalkınma Hedefleri'nin odağında toplumu harekete geçirebilecek bireylere ulusa ve uluslararası çapta uygun ortam ve imkanları sağlayarak daha iyi bir dünya için mevcut genç potansiyeli ortaya çıkarmayı amaçlar. Kulübümüz toplumsal cinsiyet eşitsizliğinden küresel ısınmaya kadar küresel öneme sahip çeşitli sorunlara çözüm aramaya hevesli ve olumlu bir etki yaratmaya yönelik üyeler arıyor.
