Seacology (http://www.seacology.org/index.cfm) exists to preserve the environments and cultures of islands worldwide.Working directly with islanders, Seacology funds humanitarian projects identified by the local community as urgent—such as a school, health clinic, or solar-powered generator. In exchange, the community agrees to establish and maintain a marine or terrestrial reserve. Our cost-effective work has led to 200 projects on over 100 islands around the world, and protected close to 2 million acres of coral reef, mangrove, rainforest, and other island ecosystems.Seacology UK (UK Registered charity #1132076) is proud to be part of the global Seacology network.
