SeaGreen is working to farm seaweed at the base of the major tributaries entering Biscayne Bay. Our seaweed farms will uptake nitrate and phosphate pollution, primarily from agricultural runoff, which feed harmful algal blooms--killing manatees, fish, and seagrass annually. The seaweed will then be converted into value-added products for profit. Our long-term goal is to expand our triple bottom line nature based bio-remediation model to other nitrate and phosphate polluted waters in Florida, across the US, and eventually across the world.
