Sean Litchfield is a Boston-based editorial and fine art photographer. He draws on a deep and intimate connection with ordinary environments to produce quiet, yet beautiful images that evoke the deep sense of uneasiness that marks the contemporary human landscape. Through fine art work in greater Boston, Sean explores the subtle barriers that artificially divide people, and the strange beauty of objects divorced from their normal context. This sensibility is carried over into a strong body of editorial and architectural photography. Even in this work, ordinary scenes are rendered extraordinary, evocative and memorable through his sense of subtle unease. A Cape Cod native, Sean is a graduate of the New England Institute of Art. He works in large and medium format film as well as digital and is available for architectural, editorial or fashion photography commissions.
