With a mission to leverage Data Science to solve problems in our local and global communities, SDSA bands together data leaders of tomorrow and provides them with a platform to develop skills, knowledge, and awareness.Founded in the Fall of 2019, SDSA brings together data-driven students and professionals to solve environmental, economic, social justice and humanitarian issues through data research, analytics and revolutionary machine learning models.By sharing knowledge and information through peer-teaching and team collaborations, members enhance their expertise in the principles of data science; principles may include, but are not limited to, programming, learning big data software solution, data engineering, statistical methods, and drawing business insights from data.SDSA also exists to connect students with professionals, professionals with organizations and other professionals. This is accomplished through weekly meetings, special projects, competitions, workshops, and guest speaker arrangements.
