Deaf Spotlight is excited to host the 3rd Seattle Deaf Film Festival (SDFF) in Seattle, WA from April 1-3, 2016 at the Northwest Film Forum. We believe in cultivating a vibrant community of emerging and experienced Deaf filmmakers, actors, and producers; and welcome any film makers from the Deaf community to participate. During this three-day festival, you will have opportunities to see various short and feature films by members of your own community! To enter your film in the festival, please read the film criteria and submission guidelines to learn about how to submit your film to be considered for the festival. Deaf Spotlight highlights the culture and creativity of the Deaf community: cinema, performance arts and the visual arts. Deaf Spotlight consists of Deaf and signing hearing persons who are passionate about creating, advocating and celebrating Deaf culture, language and awareness in the Pacific Northwest. Deaf Spotlight wants to build a platform for Deaf artists to thrive and for the deaf community to learn about and appreciate the arts. By building a bridge between our communities and others through cultural and entertainment initiatives such as tours, lectures, and collaborations, we fuel creative efforts in our community. www.deafspotlight.com
