Nonprofit Organization Management - Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia
To combat the appalling levels of poverty across Africa, Seed Their Need has been built on the promise of $50 funding a family farm that is able to reproduce itself.Projects aimed at assisting poverty stricken areas have a tendency to become monetary black holes. This is something that neither benefits the poor long term nor encourages donors in the West. The need for projects that could multiply themselves is readily apparent. As a result "Seed Their Need' was developed. Our goal is to be a tool of equipping to empower the poor to help themselves …"a hand –up not a hand-out" approach. Seed Their Need is operated by Community Care Network (CCN) which is recognized as a tax deductible organization by the Australian Tax Office. CCN has been carrying out humanitarian projects since 1994. Our highly regarded overseas director, Jacob Phiri operates Seed Their Need in Zambia.
