The essence of our organization is rooted in the name itself: SEEDS are Strategies for Economic Empowerment and Developmental Sustainability. SEEDS Together is a nonprofit that promotes sustainable economic development in rural African communities through social media and innovative microfinance lending. SEEDS Together facilitates personal relationships between African entrepreneurs and international donors, whose donations provide the productive physical resources needed for rural development. We will offer an accountable, transparent, and expedient avenue for low-cost charitable giving that integrates social media to connect donors and African entrepreneurs in ways never done before. Through our interactive web platform, donors will subsidize high-quality seeds, fertilizer, beekeeping tools, farming equipment, construction materials, sewing machines, and other low-cost, high-impact assets for African entrepreneurs committed to sustainable development. While these solutions empower growth at the individual level, we also strive to improve educational opportunities community-wide in participating villages by partnering with American schools to build classrooms, computer centers, and other educational infrastructure. We embrace a comprehensive approach to rural development in Africa, where global partnerships are essential for our Strategies for Economic Empowerment and Developmental Sustainability.
