seescape is the operational name for Fife Society for the Blind (‘FSB') which was established over 150 years ago and has supported generations of Fifers with sight loss. The Society is deeply embedded in the history, culture and life of Fife and today we continue to help generations of people who are sight impaired to enjoy independence in all areas of their lives.As an independent charity regulated by OSCR, we offer a range of services to our clients from advice to practical help delivered on a one-to-one basis. We operate Scotland's first charity optician service, The Optician at seescape, which is open both to our clients and the public. seescape also works in partnership with Fife Council and NHS Fife to deliver services and is responsible for maintaining the Severely Sight Impaired and Sight Impaired Register on behalf of the local authority.
