SEHCO is a registered charity that was established to provide activities for young people living in social housing in Portsmouth and South East Hampshire. It exists to promote community – and we run three thriving community centres, each of which is available for hire. We are also leading Step Forward a major Big Lottery funded initiative that delivers arts and sports activities for local 10 – 18 year olds. Our latest project is the development of Unit3 Studio, an arts centre situated in the heart of a social housing estate in Fareham.To provide these services, SEHCO has a small number of paid employees and a group of active and committed volunteers. It also helps voluntary groups throughout the area that have similar aims. In the decade since it was created, SEHCO has secured funding from First Wessex, Lloyds TSB, The Big Lottery, Portsmouth City Council, Fareham Borough Council and others to help undertake this work.A progressive organisation, SEHCO continues to evolve but it remains true to its roots.
