self direct is a social enterprise dedicated to promoting changes in the 'social and health market-place' we believe changes are needed in the 'social and health market-place' so that people who need support are in control of their support, their lives and live life in a way that makes sense to them we are passionate about making sure that any changes are driven by people with real life experience of how services affect lives and peer support has a vital part to play in making this a reality for people our book 'Helping providers to change' gives examples of how to make changes and how these changes can improve peoples' lives we work in partnership with other like-minded people and organisations to find new and imaginative ways to bring about the changes needed in the 'social and health market-place'
