Selocial was founded by Hip-Hop Artist David "Stock" Baird aka "Stockmashin" who has won two major radio contests in the UK, BBC Radio One play, had song placements in Major films such as "White Chicks" and "November Rules", TV Shows such as "House of Lies" and more recently performed on SKY ONE UK SING: Ultimate A Capella as a Beatboxer with the band FAYRE. David met Co-founder Sam Mancuso, an experienced Senior VP from the Valley and they both wanted to create something better for music creators than what was currently available on the market.Incorporated in 2014, Selocial quickly gained press and exposure for the Instagram like play list approach, making visuals the foundation for play listing and discovering new music. In 2014-2015 Selocial gained a spot in the Top 30 (out of 2000 companies) for the Richard Branson Extreme Tech Challenge and currently Selocial holds Patent Pending on its Time-based Playlist Method and Apparatus. In 2016, Selocial added it's artist and music repository and in 2017 Selocial is adding a payment system where artists can not only sell their music by accepting payment via currencies such as Bitcoin, but also track their sales royalties down to the songwriter, publisher, or other contributor.
