SEMASO is able to provide solutions to minimise siltation in rivers, estuaries and marine coastal environments. With minimising the siltation in rivers, estuaries and marine coastal environments the dredging activities can be reduced and/or the nautical depth can be increased.SEMASO is able to provide solutions for removing the sediment from rivers, estuaries and marine coastal environments and what to do with these sediments.Removal of sediments from rivers, estuaries and marine coastal environments can be achieved by e.g.: trailing suction hopper dredger, water injection dredger, stationary installed underwaterpomp…. The removed sediments can be classified as building material and used for e.g.: for dike reinforcements and agricultural soil improvement.SEMASO is able to provide hydromorfological studies for estuaries and marine coastal environments (together with our teampartners).Removal of a sand bank or implementation of a flushlake will have impact on the surrounding environment. Also the feasibility of these solutions should be investigated by field, laboratory and deskstudies.SEMASO is founded in 2016 as a sister company of the renowned Dutch company Wiertsema & Partners B.V. and Marine Sampling Holland B.V. (specialized in geotechnical investigations, laboratory analysis and geotechnical consultation) and in close cooperation with Ravensrodd Consultants Ltd (finding solutions to fine cohesive sediment problems). The HQ of SEMASO is situated in Tolbert in the Netherlands. The team of SEMASO consists of a number of experts, often the inventers of our generic Sediment Management Systems, and has acquired a network of experts within this field. All field, laboratory and consultancy activities are carried out according to the relevant ASTM or EU standards (e.g. NEN or BS) specified by our clients.
