We are driven by technology .... Semsoft is a French technology company founded in 2009, originally a spin-off from Orange Labs and the result of 10 years of INRIA research in data fusion and artificial intelligence. We spent several years applying our technology to serve large international groups in economic intelligence (Pernod Ricard, Total, etc.) and in financial intelligence (Tracfin, BNPP, etc.) subjects. … and we are driven by passion. In 2018, we met with HSBC France, who were at the time part of a remediation plan following a sanction issued by OFAC, and under the obligation to review the compliance processes of their trade finance activity. Semsoft co-developed a trade risk intelligence software solution named Lestr, alongside HSBC France. We found the subject so fascinating and ethical that we decided to make it our main focus to tackle criminal activity performed under the guise of international trade.
