Ankh Wedja Seneb is an Egyptian phrase commonly thought of as "life, prosperity, and health", and even more beautifully described by one scholar as ‘Be alive, strong, and healthy"We at Seneb Therapeutics aim to apply this ancient wisdom, alongside our very modern scientific processes and understanding of genetics, to investigate one of the world's oldest medicinal plants, Cannabis sativa. Our vision is for a world where Cannabis, backed by deep research and being led by the science rather than anecdote or plant lore, returns to it's place in the world's pharmacopeia, a place it held for centuries prior to the anti-cannabis crusades last century. Our mission is to help provide the best of falsifiable science to the cannabis plant. A principal goal will be to conduct such investigations in a manner that allows the science to guide us towards benefits, rather than using anecdote and plant lore to determine efficacy. Proud to announce that we will be occupying lab space in Johnson & Johnson's Jlabs@Toronto at the Mars facility in downtown Toronto, our vision is to take a proven and objective scientific process, our proprietary Chronoscreen process, utilizing the latest developments in epigenetic regulation in animal model, and apply it to a plant that has been known for it's therapeutic benefit for millennia, including in ancient Egypt. Cannabis is quite obviously a complex and pharmacologically rich plant, it's now time to remove it from the shadows and apply a scientific rigor to it's study that puts its effects within a framework of falsifiable and verifiable claims based on data and 21st century processes.
