Our plasmonic based chemical sensing platform can detect analytes in particles per billion (ppb) range. With the assist of our Artificial intelligence (AI) alogrithm, we can discriminate and quantify the target analytes in complex backgrounds such as human breath. The initial goal of Sensing Labs is to improve, expand, and benefit the breath-based detecting devices in health-related applications. So far, many substances in human breath have been studied and proven to be related to certain diseases (e.g., acetone in breath vs. blood glucose level). Outcomes of those studies, however, have not been fully utilized for disease detection due to the lack of capability in detecting those tiny amounts of substances from human breath - a complex mixture of various gas-phase analytes. Hence, we not only provide a promising technical solution to this application but also fill a broad range of pressing demands in various health-related fields.
