Sentinellium is an early warning system for developing public health concerns. Local health units can monitor developing epidemics and enable them to focus on strategizing and prioritizing mitigation measures. User-generated data and authorized reports is augmented by satellite data to capture a fuller picture of public health. This allows a more accurate forecasting on the spread of a disease or the extent of public health concerns such as alcohol-related harms, prevalence of diabetes in a population, HIV, food poisoning, etc.Sentinellium offers service to both institutions (through dashboarding and forecasting) as well as individual users (through risk profiling).At its core is to implement people-oriented technology by making sure that solutions are not just innovative BUT SHOULD BE accessible and inclusive. Technological solutions relying heavily on internet access is not appropriate for concerns such as public health where Internet access is not universal.
